By accessing or using a service covered by these Terms, you agree to the applicable provisions. If you do not agree, you should discontinue using the relevant service.
1. About VISION
VISION is a browser designed to help users access the web and work with information across connected and offline environments.
Depending on the version and features available, VISION may include browsing, saved content, local storage, downloads, workspaces, search, AI-assisted functionality, and other productivity features.
VISION Pro is intended to provide an expanded workspace experience for organising websites, documents, notes, and related information around ongoing activities.
Not every feature described on our website will necessarily be available in every release, device, or region.
2. Eligibility
You may use VISION only where you are legally permitted to enter into these Terms.
If you are below the age at which you can independently accept binding terms under applicable law, you must have the involvement or authorisation of a parent, guardian, or other legally authorised person where required.
If you use VISION on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
3. Your Use of VISION
You agree to use VISION lawfully and responsibly.
You must not:
- Use VISION to engage in unlawful activity or infringe another person's rights.
- Attempt to compromise the security, availability, or integrity of our services.
- Distribute malware or use the service to facilitate fraud, harassment, or other harmful activity.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts, or data.
- Interfere with the operation of VISION or bypass applicable technical restrictions.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the software except where expressly permitted by law or by a separate written agreement.
- Use VISION in a manner that violates applicable laws, third-party rights, or these Terms.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of VISION complies with the laws and regulations applicable to you.
4. Accounts and Security
Certain features may require an account or additional authentication.
Where accounts are available, you are responsible for providing accurate information, safeguarding your credentials, and taking reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access.
You should notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate suspected abuse, comply with legal obligations, or maintain the security of our services.
5. Offline Access and Local Storage
VISION is designed to make selected information available beyond an active internet connection.
Offline functionality depends on whether the relevant content has been saved, cached, downloaded, or otherwise made available locally. It does not guarantee access to every website, online service, or feature while offline.
Websites may require an active connection to authenticate users, retrieve new information, submit forms, or perform other functions.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important information where necessary. Unless a separate feature or agreement expressly provides otherwise, we do not guarantee that locally stored information will always remain available or recoverable.
6. VISION Pro and Workspaces
VISION Pro may provide tools for organising and working with websites, files, notes, saved content, and other information within persistent workspaces.
You retain responsibility for the information you add, import, create, or store in your workspaces, including ensuring that you have the right to use that information.
You should take care when storing confidential, personal, or sensitive material, particularly on shared devices or in environments where other people may have access to your files.
The availability of particular workspace features, integrations, storage options, or synchronisation capabilities may change as the product develops.
7. AI-Assisted Features
Where AI-assisted features are available, they may generate summaries, explanations, recommendations, search results, or other outputs based on the information provided.
AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. You should independently verify important information before relying on it.
AI outputs do not constitute professional legal, medical, financial, or other specialist advice.
You are responsible for reviewing outputs before using, sharing, or acting on them. You should not rely on AI-generated information as the sole basis for consequential decisions.
The information processed by an AI feature may depend on its configuration and the relevant privacy disclosures.
8. Third-Party Websites and Services
VISION allows you to access websites and services operated by third parties.
We do not control all third-party websites, their content, availability, security practices, privacy policies, or terms. Your use of those services may be governed by separate agreements between you and the relevant provider.
A website being accessible through VISION does not mean that Ann-Connect endorses or guarantees that website or its content.
You are responsible for assessing the suitability and trustworthiness of third-party services you choose to use.
9. Intellectual Property
VISION, including its software, branding, logos, visual design, documentation, and original content, is owned by Ann-Connect or its respective licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms and any separate licence, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use VISION for its intended purpose.
You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit our intellectual property without the necessary permission, except where expressly permitted by law.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of your own content to us. You remain responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to content you use through VISION.
10. Software Updates and Availability
We may release updates, improvements, security patches, and changes to VISION from time to time.
Some features may require an update, an internet connection, compatible hardware, or a supported operating system.
We aim to maintain a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device, or permanent availability of any particular feature.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue a feature where reasonably necessary for technical, security, operational, or business reasons, subject to applicable law and any separate contractual commitments.
11. Downloads and Third-Party Components
VISION may be distributed through the Ann-Connect Store or other authorised distribution channels.
Additional software, integrations, or third-party components may be subject to separate licence terms. Where applicable, those terms apply to the relevant component.
You are responsible for obtaining software from authorised sources and maintaining a compatible, appropriately secured device.
12. Privacy
Your use of VISION is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information may be handled.
You should review the Privacy Policy before using features that involve accounts, synchronisation, AI processing, or other connected services.
13. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, VISION is provided on an “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that the software will always be error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with every environment, or capable of meeting every individual requirement.
We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, availability, or suitability of third-party websites, content, or AI-generated outputs.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a right, warranty, or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ann-Connect will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of VISION, including loss of profits, business opportunities, or data, where such exclusion is legally permitted.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where the law does not permit that limitation or exclusion.
Where liability may lawfully be limited, the extent of any limitation will be assessed in accordance with applicable law and any separate agreement governing the relevant service.
15. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using VISION at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access to a service where reasonably necessary because of a breach of these Terms, a security risk, unlawful activity, or another legitimate operational or legal reason.
Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will provide notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Termination of access does not automatically delete all locally stored information, account information, or data held by third-party services. Separate deletion steps may be required.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as VISION develops or our legal and operational requirements change.
The revised version will be published on this page with an updated date. Where required by law, we will provide notice or obtain consent before changes take effect.
Continued use of the relevant service after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to applicable mandatory consumer protection, privacy, and other legal requirements.
Nothing in these Terms removes rights you may have under mandatory laws applicable in your country or prevents you from bringing a claim before a court where applicable law permits it.
