Getting startedSetting up VISION for the first time
When you open VISION for the first time, a short welcome asks for your language, your country and, optionally, what you'd like to be called.
After that you'll see the new tab page, with Ask VISION, your shortcuts and a quick overview of your day. You can change your details later in Settings.
Getting startedBringing your bookmarks from another browser
Open Settings and use bookmark import to bring in bookmarks exported from your previous browser. Imported bookmarks appear in Bookmarks, grouped by date.
Getting startedMaking VISION your default browser
In Settings, choose Make VISION your default browser. Your operating system may ask you to confirm the change.
BrowsingAdding and removing shortcuts on the new tab
Select Add shortcut on the new tab page and enter a site's address. To remove a shortcut, use its remove option. Shortcuts are stored on your device.
BrowsingUsing a private window
Choose New Private Window from the File menu or the ⋮ menu. Private windows are clearly labelled.
VISION doesn't record history in a private window, and cookies and site data are discarded when you close it. Websites, your network and your employer or school may still be able to see your activity.
BrowsingSaving and filling passwords
Add logins in Settings. Passwords are encrypted using your operating system's secure storage (Keychain on macOS, Windows' data protection on Windows) and are only filled into the site they belong to.
If your system's secure storage isn't available, VISION shows an error rather than saving a password without encryption.
BrowsingSaving data with Lite Mode
Turn on Lite Mode from the ⋮ menu or Settings. VISION then stops images and video loading in every tab until you turn it off.
OfflineSaving a page for offline
With the page open, select the save-for-offline button in the toolbar. VISION saves a complete copy to your device and adds it to your VISION Library.
Open the Library from the ⋮ menu or the new tab page to search, categorise, reopen or remove saved pages.
OfflineWhy some pages don't work offline
A saved page is a copy of how it looked when you saved it. Pages that need sign-in, stream media, or load live information won't work fully offline.
For articles, try Reader View before saving for a cleaner copy.
OfflineManaging offline storage
In Settings → Offline storage you can set a storage limit, turn background refresh on or off, and limit preparation to non-cellular connections.
Pages you saved yourself are never removed automatically. Pages VISION saved for you, such as accepted suggestions, may be removed oldest first when you're over your limit.
Ask VISIONSetting up Ask VISION
Ask VISION needs an AI provider. In Settings you can add your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key, or download the offline Ask VISION model.
Each answer shows which provider produced it. If no provider is available, VISION tells you rather than making something up.
Ask VISIONDownloading the offline Ask VISION model
The offline model is a one-time download of about 1.1 GB. You can pause the download and keep browsing, and remove the model later to free space.
Once downloaded, Ask VISION can answer on your device without a connection. A small on-device model is less capable than cloud AI, so check important answers.
LearningStudying from your own documents
Open Education from the toolbar or ⋮ menu, then add a PDF, Word document or text file in My Materials.
VISION identifies the document's topics and can create flashcards, mock tests and a study plan from it. These steps use AI, so they need an AI provider and a connection.
LearningReviewing saved Education pages
Pages saved under the Education category appear in Study when they're due. Choose Got it to see the page again later, or Review again soon to see it tomorrow.
WellbeingStarting a Focus Mode session
In Settings → Focus Mode, add the sites you want to block and choose a duration from 15 to 90 minutes. During the session, those sites show a focus page instead of loading.
You can end a session early at any time from the focus page or the ⋮ menu.
WellbeingHow VISION Points work
You earn points for real actions, such as saving a page for offline, taking a healthy break after a long session, reviewing study material, and completing focus sessions. Points can't be earned by clicking repeatedly.
Redeeming points for rewards is not yet generally available.
VISION ProCreating a Space
Open VISION Pro and select + next to Spaces. Name your Space, then add modules such as Documents, Saved Websites and Notes.
Everything in a Space is stored on your device and stays there until you remove it.
PrivacyDownloading or deleting your data
Open Privacy & data from Settings. Download my data saves a file with your bookmarks, history, tasks, memory, chats, rewards, profile and settings (saved passwords and saved pages are left out on purpose).
Delete my data erases everything VISION holds on your device and asks VISION's servers to delete usage statistics and crash reports linked to it.
PrivacyTurning off usage statistics
Anonymous usage statistics are on by default and can be switched off in Privacy & data. Crash reports have their own switch. Neither includes the pages you visit, your searches or anything you type.
Frequently asked questions
What is VISION?
VISION is a web browser. It works like the browsers you already know — tabs, bookmarks, history, downloads — and adds tools for keeping important pages, learning, staying focused and opening saved content when you're offline.
How is VISION different from other browsers?
Most browsers help you open pages. VISION also helps you keep them: save pages to read offline, organise work into Spaces, study from your own documents, and build healthier browsing habits — all in one place, with your saved content kept on your device.
What is VISION Pro?
VISION Pro is the workspace side of VISION. It lets you create Spaces for projects, courses or research and keep websites, documents and notes together in each one. It builds on the browser rather than replacing it.
Can I use VISION without an internet connection?
Yes, for content you've prepared. Pages you've saved, your Library, Study Material you've added and, if you've downloaded it, the offline Ask VISION model all work without a connection. Live websites still need the internet.
Does every website work offline?
No. VISION saves a copy of a page as it looked when you saved it. Articles, notes and reference pages usually work well. Sites that need you to sign in, stream video, or load live information (like chat apps, feeds or online banking) will not work offline.
Which operating systems are supported?
VISION has apps for Windows 10 and later (64-bit), macOS 12 and later (Apple silicon and Intel), Android 8.0 and later, and iPhone with iOS 16 and later. Linux isn't supported yet.
Is VISION free?
Pricing for VISION and VISION Pro has not been announced yet. We'll publish it clearly before downloads open. Organisations can contact us about licences for their learners or teams.
How do I download and install VISION?
Go to the Download page and choose your platform. Official downloads and store listings are being finalised; until they're published, the Download page shows what's coming and how to be notified. Installation steps for each platform are listed there.
What happens to my saved content?
Your history, bookmarks, saved pages, passwords, study material, Spaces and Ask VISION chats are stored on your device. VISION does not send your history, the addresses you visit or page contents to us. You can download a copy of your data or delete it from VISION's Privacy settings.
Where can I get help?
Start with the Help Centre on this site, or open Help Center from the VISION menu inside the app. If you still need help, email us and we'll get back to you.
